Clarisonic VS Foreo Luna

In the skincare world the entry of electronic devices has made a huge difference these last years. Now there's a complete range of products we can use to make the makeup remove routine easier and more effective. We are talking about products like Clarisonic, Foreo of course, but lately more brands have launched more of these devices such as Braun Face , Philips Visa Pure, etc...
We are now going to compare the most used ones, Clarisonic and Foreo Luna, for two main reasons: one is that they have similar technology and two the price range is close.

This post is written with the help of my best friend Giordana, who is a huge fan of  her Foreo, while I am a proud owner of the Clarisonic! So you can have both points of view of every device!

Starting with Foreo, a swedish brand, we can immediately notice the scandinavian design in this little skincare device.
The technical details are:
- T-sonic technology (8000 pulsation per minute are channeled through soft silicone touch points to gently remove dead skin cells, as well as unclog pores of 99,5% of dirt and oil and 98,5% of makeup residue.
- The anti-aging mode: lower-frequency pulsations are directed through concentric silicone waves onto wrinkle-prone areas to smooth the appereance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- No need of  replacement brushes. The smooth and soft silicone brush is nonabrasive anough for daily use. It is also nonporous to resist bacteria buildup, making it up to 35x more hygienic than standard sonic-cleansing brushes.
- One full charge lasts up to 450 uses.
This is what Foreo site says about his Foreo Luna. And this is what Giordana thinks about it:
- it's handy to use and to travel with;
- one charge lasts forever for real;
- the anti-age mode is really working, it smooths the appereance of fine lines, mostly around my mouth;
- the skin is cleaner, I notice less pimples (they don't disappear totally);
- less blackheads also, even if they don't go away forever; sometimes is a little hard to reach every curve of the nose due to the Foreo shape.
- a good cleanser is essential to improve the quality of the skin and the effect of the device;
- it's a little tricky to remove the traces of cleanser that can stick to the soft-touch points, but nothing too complicated.
The price is 169 euro. Available here and on Douglas.

Clarisonic is an American brand and now their range of products includes both face and body devices. I have the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the technical details are:
- Sonic-method (no vibration, no spinning) with over 300 micro pulsation per second (18000 per minute) gently removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores and makes the treatments application more effective, while reduces the size of pores and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles;
- full range of brushes to use with every skin type, from extremely sensitive to oily skin;
- one charge lasts for one month use (if used twice a day)
- 6x more effective of manual makeup removing.
And this is what I think about my Clarisonic Mia 2:
- it's easy to use but not so handy to travel with, you have to bring the charger with you if you're travelling for a long time;
- it's important to change the brushes regularly to keep the maximum effect, so be prepared to spend extra money after you buy it;
- the skin is a lot cleaner, the size of the pores is really decreased, it smooths fine lines and wrinkles;
- it really helps to remove any trace of makeup. You will be surprised how much makeup is still on your skin, even if you used a makeup remover before the Clarisonic.
- it's essential to use it with a good cleanser, even if on its own is still effective;
- for the first period using it you may notice more pimples, but that's just because is really cleaning your skin deeply: don't give up, keep using it;
- the brushes are easy to wash, but it's highly recommended to sanitize them once a week, especially if your skin is acne prone. Let them air dry after every use.
The price is 149 euro. Available here and on Sephora. The brushes cost 25 euro.

So what should you get? Clarisonic or Foreo? Here are my conclusions:
- If you are a person who wears lots of makeup, get a Clarisonic;
- if you travel a lot, get a Foreo;
- if you have got acne, Foreo is your choice, because it's more gentle and hygienic;
- if you have got large pores, fine lines or wrinkles and your skin is normal to oily get a Clarisonic;
- if your skin is extremely sensitive get a Foreo:
- if you are on a budget, get a Foreo;
- if you have got blackheads and random pimples, get a Clarisonic;
- if you wear full make up and foundation every day, get a Clarisonic.

They both have pros and cons, consider your skin, your habits and your budget! They really make a huge difference in your skin and I highly recommend to invest in one of the two! Make your own conclusions and let me know if this was helpful to you!

Thanks to Giordana who helped me writing this post for you!

Kisses,
Hyatt
